A Year in Review: What’s Next?

What’s next?

2016 Travel: Our plans for 2016 are contingent on my working situation. Ironically, if I have the time to travel, I don’t have the stability and security of a job to fund travel; if I have a job, then I have limited annual leave to plan breaks around. Copenhagen is definitely in the diary; we’ll be discovering Denmark for the first time in April for Mr Fletche’s birthday.

In June, we hope to take our main holiday touring Croatia. A preliminary itinerary has us flying into Zagreb, driving down to Plitvice, then to Zadar, Split and Dubrovnik via a couple of islands. Plans will hopefully be firmed up in the New Year, so any Croatia advice and suggestions will be gratefully received!

After our success of accompanying my parents to Austria in September 2014, we are hoping to do the same once more with a family trip to Germany. If Salzburg was Mom’s dream, then Berlin is high on Dad’s wish list so we’ll hopefully get a few days to discover the city this autumn. And finally, after a couple of UK-based wedding anniversary trips, Mr Fletche and I are thinking about slightly warmer climes to celebrate and discover the Christmas markets of Madrid in November. It’ll be a very Europe based year once more! But there is a “big birthday” ending in “0” to plan for the following year…

Blog.com? After dabbling with WordPress, and finding a name and style I like, I will finally look to purchase my domain name in 2016, and create a slicker webpage. There are limitations with the current platform, and I haven’t quite found the template which makes me happy and screams “professional!!!!” at me. I’ll also help with the launch of Mr Fletche’s website and continue working on content for his Facebook page, so plenty to keep me busy in between job-hunting and travel planning! I may also add more than the one existing photo onto Instagram…

  1. Jealous of Croatia! I really want to do that, but it is super involved from a travel standpoint for us to get there–same problem: it is hard for us to leave our business. Can’t wait to hear about your trip this upcoming year!

  2. True. The other big trip I want to make sometime (forgive me of I’ve told you this before)/is the November marathon in Istanbul. You run on 2 continents!!

      1. I have confidence you’ll return to it… Your experiences were too funny and memorable for you to completely abandon it! (BT W, I didn’t start until I was 46…so you have some time left!)
