Finding your very own Love Island villa with Clickstay

Have you been watching Love Island? In my defence, I’ve been watching purely to observe the psychology of relationships between today’s youth (and I definitely close my eyes and ears when the smoochy kissy bits come on). But I also watch for the shots of that infinity pool, the rooftop terrace, the trees strung with fairylights and the bits where they release the monkeys from their cage contestants from their luxury abode into the beautiful Mallorcan surroundings. It’s villa envy from me. And when Clickstay – an online holiday home rental website with over 39,000 properties in Europe and further afield – asked me to peruse their site and pick out some of my favourite villas from their selection it got me wondering why I’d never considered a villa holiday before. So here are three selections for my very own Love Island/Family Island/Friendship Island villas

Finding a Love Island villa

If I was going to find a romantic hideaway to spend some quality time with the love of my life, I wouldn’t want to share it with a dozen or so strangers who arrive and depart with alarming frequency. So how about a villa in Paphos,  birthplace of Aphrodite, the goddess of love? I love the look of this one, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms (in case we fall out), beautiful gardens and his and hers sinks in the bathroom, so we can look lovingly at each other whilst we brush our teeth.

Finding a Family Island villa

If you’re going on holiday as a grown-up family, you definitely need somewhere which is big enough for you all to have your own space. For us, family probably means bringing Ma and Pa Lee along, and we’d love to show them why we love Italy so much. The food, the wine, the people, the wine… I’ve fallen in love with this Tuscan farmhouse with its traditional furnishings, cute pool and views of rolling hillside. Pa Lee does a mean BBQ so I can see him outside grilling steaks with Mr Fletche as his sous-chef, whilst Ma Lee and I crack open another bottle of the local Chianti… And the medieval hamlet of Lucardo is within walking distance if it all gets too much and we just need a break from one another…

Finding a Friendship Island villa

Have you ever tried meeting the needs of every one of a group of friends? It’s never going to happen. But surely no-one’s going to argue if you pick a stunning villa like this one on the Balearic Island of Ibiza. Five bedrooms, six bathrooms, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating areas and a stunning hillside location – why would you want to go to one of the island’s superclubs when you could have your own amazing party here?

With no holiday plans made yet for 2019, I get the feeling that a relaxing villa break in Europe may well be on the cards. Only question is – who’s coming with me?

  1. I love staying in Villas when we’re in a big group, and I find it’s actually often cheaper than a hotel when you divide the cost fairly. Europe is really good at having gorgeous villas isn’t it!!

P.s. yay for your first sponsored post! You chose such a fun-sounding company to collaborate with!!
