Part-time traveller, Full-Time Brummie

I’ve been nominated for Best Travel Blog!

Vote for A Brummie Home and Abroad

For the second year running I have been nominated for a Bloggers Bash award and I couldn’t be happier! Nominated by other bloggers, it’s always lovely to receive recognition, and this year I’ve made it into the best Travel Blog category alongside some other awesome bloggers. There are some I recognise, and some that are brand new to me that I’ll be stalking online!

It’s tough being a travel blogger when you can’t travel as much as you’d like – as I highlighted in this post – but hopefully there is plenty of content to keep readers happy. And technically, my Brum-focused posts are encouraging you all to visit my city so I’m counting these as travel content too!

So how do you vote? Well, click on this link here, scroll down to the Best Travel Blog 2019 category, pop a dot in the circle next to “A Brummie Home and Abroad” and then click Vote. Simple! And then go back and have a look at all the other incredible blogs over the 8 categories. You can only vote once in each category though so use your vote wisely! And the vote closes on April 24th at 9pm so you better get cracking!

Last year I gave you 7 reasons to vote for A Brummie Home and Abroad for Best Overall Blogger. These still stand of course, but here are 7 more reasons:

1. Fancy combining a trip with a theatre visit? Still touring in 2019 are Kinky BootsDirty DancingAvenue Q and American Idiot – click the links to find out my thoughts on these shows!

2. I’m a great advocate of experiences over things, particularly when it comes to gift-giving. Wanna know more about helicopter rides or alpaca walking? I’m your gal!

3. I delve into the truth about destinations, and don’t hold back. Like my thoughts on the decline of seaside town Weymouth. And the public transport situation in Malta.

4. Shepherd’s hut in Northumberland? Barge in Rotterdam? I’ll test out all the quirky accommodations for you.

5. Sometimes I spill my deepest, darkest travel secrets with you, like the little tricks I use to travel whilst working full-time. And my essential airplane travel kit.

6, Looking for travel inspiration? In the last twelve months I’ve shared 9 destinations for a romantic winter break, and which countries and cities are on my current travel wishlist

7. ‘Cos it’d make me really, really happy. And surely that’s the best reason of all?

I’m looking forward to heading down to London again this year on 15th June for the Bloggers Bash. The awards are just a tiny part of the day though. The best part is the chance to meet new friends, catch up with old ones and learn some useful stuff from the presenters and tutorial sessions. But I’d still love your vote!!
